Pete Ross's Bio

Pete has dedicated his entire adult life to researching, discovering and applying his knowledge of Physical Training for the benefit of literally hundreds of individuals of all ages and physical abilities. He spent 26 years in the RAF-attaining the rank of Flight Sergeant- as a Physical Training Instructor (PTI) ; 6 of which were spent as a Staff Instructor on the elite School of Physical Training where he taught aspirant PTIs during a 23 week programme.

He also spent 8 years in the RAF Mountain Rescue Service and 3 years as a Mountaineering Instructor at the Joint Service Mountain Training Centre (Ballachulish) Scotland.

He was also an accomplished distance runner who upon retirement proceeded to coach a variety of RAF representative athletes, including the 1996 Combined Service 800m champion.

Pete Says:

‘I’ve always been fascinated as to why certain individuals have the physical capabilities and mental attitude to become top-level performers; yet others struggle to motivate themselves to keep fit enough to remain healthy. One thing I have learned, over many years, is that any individual, with the correct guidance and encouragement, can improve their physical fitness and sense of well-being through a structured exercise programme. Whether it’s a recently retired sedentary worker who wants higher levels of fitness to enjoy an active retirement. Or a young mum who wishes to lose post- pregnancy weight . Or even a couple wishing to get into shape for the beach! I’ve been privileged throughout my career to work with men and women from opposite ends of the fitness spectrum; their challenges in achieving their fitness goals has inspired my research into the most effective fitness training methods. I like to think I have a learned (and still continue to) as much from the clients and athletes I have worked with as they have from me.’
